Exterior Painting

Our staff of year-round professionals have painted hundreds of homes in New England and will provide you with a superior level of workmanship, ensuring that your house will remain looking beautiful long after the project is complete.

Protect and Prepare

We realize our paint finish is only as good as the finish underneath it. Therefore, our surface preparation includes everything from power washing, spot priming, carpentry, and glazing to total paint removal.

Your gardens and plants are important to the look of your residence and we take care in covering the ground and plantings to ensure they are not harmed. We clean the work area upon completion, ensuring the vegetation gets uncovered as quickly as possible to prevent any damage.

Power washing your home's exterior removes dirt and mildew from the surface, making the surface ready for the primer and ensuring the paint adheres to the surface. Power washing can be used on vinyl, aluminum, cedar, and painted siding. The house is allowed to dry out after washing to ensure all moisture is eliminated prior to painting. While the house dries, we scrape and sand all loose paint and clean the area of paint chips before we start applying the primer.

Paint

Finishing your home includes caulking all seams and casings to prevent moisture from penetrating behind wood, applying an oil-based primer to all bare wood before we apply the top coat to seal the surface, and applying a high quality paint or stain, including Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, or Cabot, to all major surfaces with brushes and rollers to prevent paint from getting on vegetation, walks, decks or windows. We use sprayers on shutters, lattice or hard-to-reach areas.
